We
welcome you to the charming and stylish Maison de l'Orb
close to the centre of Béziers on the River l'Orb
situated between Pont Vieux and Pont Neuf in the heart of
the Languedoc-Roussillon region of South West France close
to the Spanish border.
The Maison de l'Orb is a place for relaxation. We never
forget the reason we are here: 'to ensure you that
our guests have a happy and memorable stay and to achieve
their ambitions for greater success and happiness'.
At
Maison de l'Orb we try and keep a balance between modern
facilities and good old fashioned hospitality. The bedrooms
have a warm old fashioned character with lighting to suit
the mood. We cater for the professional and executive looking
for a standard of quality services to enhance their working
environment and relaxing stay in the area. We also cater
for holidaymaker whether they be relaxing or looking for
investments in the property market and are able to offer
a wide range of products and services. Your comfort during
your stay and attention to detail is paramount and our main
objective.
We wish to make the client feel at home during their stay
whether on a long vacation or a short stay and to provide
all aspects of advice on places of interest when buying
property or simply visiting France.
Maison de l'Orb is a place for relaxation situated by a
tranquil river and is steeped in historic events and photographs
showing the many activities to be found in the surrounding
areas of Maison de l'Orb in Beziers. Guests come to relax,
unwind and to explore the exciting city of Béziers,
the Canal Du Midi and its boating holidays and its beautiful
lush open countryside is within minutes from our property.
There are also many good local wines that attract many to
the region to sample all the surrounding vineyards throughout
the area in Languedoc.
Béziers has an economic development strategy that
is fast growing and is attracting many investors and business
people from all over the world.
A southern sleepy town, known for its rugby, with a definite
strong character, Béziers has a quality of life that
would be attractive and acceptable to anyone looking for
a much calmer, tranquil atmosphere than experienced in most
towns and cities in the rest of France and beyond. The city
itself which is a mere ten minute walk away has an array
of individual shops, fabulous cafes and restaurants not
to mention the indoor markets.
We at the Maison de l'Orb intend to make your stay as pleasant
as possible and are able to personally guide and assist
with any enquiries you may have be it legal, financial or
business of any nature in France and Europe and of course
can assist with the planning of your events and places to
visit during your stay.
We are unable to weclome guests with pets. We also welcome
children, by advance arrangement, and should be requested
at time of booking. This will depend on any such advance
bookings and activities at the time. At this time we are
unable to accommodate anyone who needs wheelchair access
as we have no ground floor accommodation. We are expanding
on an ongoing basis and our three gîtes will soon
be available in the coming months so that our guests and
clients can have their own space to enhance their enjoyable
stay.
Breakfast
is served daily in the typically French styled dining room
or in the beautiful riverside garden. We offer a continental
style breakfast offering home made pastries, locally produced
and homemade preserves with some fruit grown in our garden,
breads, muesli and poached fruits or you may wish to indulge
in our full English breakfast, cooked to order.
We are also able to offer a delicious home cooked three-course
evening meal should this be requested. Please see our sample
menus for further information.
We can cater for guests with dietary needs, please indicate
at time of booking.
We offer many internal events that change on a daily or
weekly basis and enable one to network with others complete
with wine tasting and complimentary appetiser's where you
can get to know other guests, chat to the owners, plan the
next day's events or maybe wish to source further information
on buying your own French property in the surrounding areas.
There are times when bookings for corporate companies will
provide talks and seminars and you may find that the garden
and some other communal areas could be occupied by guest
speakers and specific client groups, this will be clarified
at the point of booking confirmation and some events will
of course be open to all guests. Our newsletter will give
such information to assist and advise in such matters.
